Boy am I beat!!!

Whew...well the website is finally somewhat functional. Talk about redo an entire site in about a day!!! I am beat. I really like how it is coming together and hope that you do aswell....go and check it out!!!! www.hypnoticflamedesigns.com

Well, last night we put up the Christmas tree and it looks really nice in it's corner. We had to tell Mia over and over again that she is not allowed to eat the tree....I wonder how long those bottom branches are gonna last....hmmmm We have really special Christmas balls that we put on our tree. My Grandmother made Christmas balls every year as far back as I can remember and several years ago one of my Christmas presents was an entire bagful of them. She even made us personalized one's with our pictures on them. They are so beautiful and I just can't imagine our Christmas tree without them.

Here is Hailey and Mia
This is one of my personal favorites
Here is Hailey as a baby....isnt she cute!!!
And here is one of Avery (my brother's second daughter) and Hailey

Well, I have also been really busy getting ready for the art show on Saturday. I will post pictures of what I got done today hopefully tomorrow!!

Have a great night!

Christmas ornament bracelet and earrings....I love these colors!!! Unfortunately the pictures don't do them proper justice!! :(

I have more goodies in the kiln tonight!!! I made some pendants...will post hopefully tomorrow!
Have a great evening!!!

Bad Blogger

I have been a terrible blogger these past couple of weeks! I am gonna blame it on the holiday :) Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!
I do have LOTS of pics for you! I figured out what was wrong with my camera...it was out of batteries, but needed "special" batteries...not the plain old alkaline from the grocery store. So I have fixed up the camera and taken most of the pics...I will post them soon..hopefully tonight!!
I have been really busy making new beads and jewelry for my upcoming art show!! It is this Saturday!!! I still have so much to do, but will somehow manage to get it all done!
I also just recently bought an oxygen concentrator so that I no longer have to get tanked oxygen!! It was alot of money but I look forward to no longer having the headache of trying to schedule the oxygen delivery!!! Those people were just not flexible enough for me :)
I will do my best to post the pictures tonight!!!!
Until next time.....

Friends and Family

I had a wonderful weekend hanging out with my parents and a few of thier friends. My mom and dad were in town for a violin convention (my father makes violins) and we had such a wonderful time. My parents have met many people going to different conventions for violin makers and we were able to meet a few of them this past week. I must admit...my mom has the best friends!!! Not only are they lots of fun to be around, but they loved my beads and jewelry :) Yeah Pam and Annette!!!! We had such a blast and it was truly a pleasure meeting them both. I have been busy at the torch lately because I have a craft fair coming up!!!! YEAH!!! I have been waiting to hear back from the Holiday Happening in Rockville, Maryland. It is a juried show, which means you have to send in photos of your craft and they judge to see who will be given a spot in the show. It had been a while and I had not heard anything, but last week I got my acceptance letter!!!!! I have slowed down on the ebay beads so that I can focus on my jewelry beads inventory...I will take some pictures soon..Promise. I need to get more batteries for my camera :) I hate that....just when you are on a roll....the little low battery light comes on and before you know it the camera is shut off! Oh well....you will have to wait and see! I do have a little surprise for you though....my mom asked me to make her a wine bottle stopper for her log cabin. She wanted a little black bear....here is what I was able to come up with. I think he's really cute.

Have a great evening...off to melt glass!

Better Late than Never :)

Okay...so it's been a few days since my last post and I promised you some pics of beads. Here is a sneak peak at what I am putting on ebay!!
I am proud of this first set!!! It was made with Olympia Rain which is a reactive glass that is very expensive from Double Helix! It is capable of making the most beautiful colors when put in the flame correctly...the hard part is figuring out just where to put it in the flame!!! I really love this set and the colors that were achieved!!!

I used the red again!! I was pleasantly surprised at how the red turned out in the "Holiday Cheer" set and just had to use it again. I mixed it here with my favorite color...blue. What do you think?
have a great day!!! I will post pictures of the goodies that are in the kiln soon!!

Holiday Cheer

I am excited about showing all of you this next set. I am not crazy about red so I dont really use it much, but was very pleased with how these turned out!!! There is plenty of texture and the colors just pop out at ya! Hope you enjoy!!

Puppy school went well yesterday! Our little Mia is coming right along. I was able to get a little torch time in last night and will finish the set today....you will just have to wait until tomorrow to see it!!!

Puppy School

We start "puppy school" today...wish us luck!!! As promised....a picture of our little Mia!!

Torch Time

Well I finally got back to the torch after what seemed like an eternity. Sometimes life just gets too busy :) I am calling this set Mossy Lilac....not really in love with the name, but for some reason it's sticking :) Some of the beads are etched to a soft matte and the others are left with their lustrous shine...hope you like them. My favorites in this collection are the little flowers!! Kerry, a fantastic artist with Kabsconcepts talked recently about "cutting" the glass and I just had to give it a try!! I loved how it turned out and plan on cutting more class here very soon :)

There are more goodies in the kiln!! Will show you tomorrow....hopefully they will bring you Christmas Cheer :)!!!

November already?

Okay...its been a while since I posted. So much has happened...not really sure where to begin.
We have a new addition to our family!! Her name is Mia and she is a little Boxer pup! I will post pics of her tonight! She has been such a delight to have around and Hailey and I are constantly cracking up at her. She is starting puppy school this weekend..that ought to be interesting :)
We made it through Halloween. Hailey was a vampress and we had a wonderful time tromping through the neighborhood last night. Today she is recovering from a sugar high (more like overdose) :).
Okay ...now the bad news...
Last night when we got back from trick-or-treating I walked upstairs and there was an incredible musty or moldy smell! I have had sooooo many issues with my home that sometimes I feel like just burning the darn thing down! A couple of months ago it was not one, but TWO water leaks! The second one caused us to have to tear up part of the ceiling in the kitchen....which is still a gaping hole because I know the second I get someone out to patch up the drywall it will inevitably start leaking again!!! Now this smell....I looked and looked everywhere and can't figure out where it is coming from. I am so afraid that there is yet ANOTHER leak and we just have not yet found it yet....
okay...I feel better now. I am hoping to get to the torch tonight. I will let you know what wonderful creations come from the kiln soon!!
Have a great November first day!!!
